What is Pedal Assist / PAS or PEDALEC? What is the difference between PAS and Throttle?/ Does your Electric Bikes have a Throttle control?Updated 2 days ago
Pedal Assist (AKA PAS or PEDALEC) is a mode that provides power only when you are pedalling. Pedal Assist offers level of assistance that you can adjust on the display. You can make the electric motor assist more, or assist less during rides.
Throttle control is similar to a motor bike, where you twist the throttle on the handle to generate speed. This means that the user does not need to pedal, and the motor can power the bike on it’s own via the throttle.
Our Progear bikes do not use throttle.
